Sober in the C-Suite® Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 16, 2026
At Sober in the C-Suite® (“we,” “our,” or “us”), we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit https://soberinthecsuite.com (the “Site”), request a resource, contact us, or interact with our services. Reading or using the Site does not, by itself, enroll you in marketing emails.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. We collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number if requested, and the contents of an inquiry. A resource-request form may also record whether you chose to receive optional marketing emails. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information in your message.
Planned payment services. Stripe is our intended processor for planned website payments. A business Stripe account has been established, but it has not been connected to the Squarespace replacement Site and payment checkout has not been activated there. If payment functionality is enabled in the future, Stripe may collect payment, billing, transaction, and related fraud-prevention information through its payment services. We may receive transaction status, receipts, and related records needed to administer services. Do not send payment-card details through general website forms.
Technical and usage information. Squarespace, our replacement website's hosting provider, processes information needed to operate the Site, such as your IP address, browser, network and device information, and pages viewed. Website analytics may also collect information about visits, clicks, referring pages, and other site activity. Some technical information can identify or be associated with a person; we do not treat all of it as anonymous.
Please avoid sensitive information. Do not send diagnoses, treatment records, detailed medical or mental-health histories, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or other highly sensitive information through general website forms. Contact Dr. Jo to arrange an appropriate channel if sensitive information needs to be shared. General website forms are not a clinical-record portal and should not be used for emergencies or matters requiring an immediate response.
2. How We Use Your Information
Requested resources. When you request a resource, we use your information to handle that request, provide access to the resource, and address related delivery questions. This does not mean you have subscribed to an ongoing promotional email series.
Inquiries and service communications. We use inquiry details to respond to you and, where relevant, discuss or administer services you have requested. A response to your inquiry is separate from optional marketing.
Optional marketing. We use your contact information for newsletters, promotional updates, or other optional marketing when you separately choose to receive those messages, for example through an email-signup checkbox. Leaving that choice unchecked does not authorize marketing enrollment. You can withdraw your marketing choice by using an unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent us from responding to a request you make or sending communications necessary to administer a requested service.
Operations and legal obligations. We may use information to maintain the Site, understand site activity, address misuse, administer our business, and meet applicable legal obligations. We retain information as needed for these purposes and applicable recordkeeping requirements; this policy does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period.
3. How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable steps appropriate to the information and services involved to limit unauthorized access and misuse. However, internet communications and electronic storage are not risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security or confidentiality. General forms and ordinary email should not be used to submit clinical records or other highly sensitive information. This website policy does not replace any separate privacy notices or service-specific requirements that may apply to a clinical relationship.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or trade your personal information without your consent. We share information as needed to respond to your requests, operate our services, and meet legal requirements, including with the following relevant providers:
Squarespace: hosts the replacement website and processes native website form submissions. Forms with a required email field may also retain submission information in Squarespace's Contacts/form-submitter records. A stored form submission is not the same as permission to send marketing.
Google/Gmail: receives and stores the form-notification emails delivered to our business inbox and messages you send to that email address.
Calendly: provides the consultation-booking service linked from the Site. Information you enter after following that booking link is handled by Calendly under its own privacy policy and the choices presented during booking.
Adobe Fonts: the replacement Site loads Adobe font resources. Font delivery can involve browser, device, page, and IP-address information needed to display those resources.
Stripe (intended payment processor): we plan to use Stripe for future website payments. Its separate business account does not itself activate website checkout; no Stripe checkout integration is currently active on the Squarespace replacement Site. If enabled later, Stripe will process payment-related information under its applicable terms and Privacy Policy. Payment-related communications are separate from optional marketing consent.
During migration, earlier records may remain with our previous website/services platform, Simplero. We are not representing that every legacy record has already been transferred or deleted, or that new Squarespace submissions are automatically copied to Simplero.
These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or another legal process, or where permitted by law to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of our services.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site offers a native cookie banner with Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Manage cookies choices. Non-essential Squarespace analytics and performance cookies are restricted until you choose to allow them. Necessary cookies for website operation, security, and remembering your consent choices may still be used. The Cookie Preferences option allows you to change your choices later.
The Squarespace visitor activity log is disabled. Cookie restriction does not mean that every website request or limited cookieless usage measurement stops; hosting providers still process information needed to operate the Site. The native banner does not control every third-party technology or external service. Font-delivery requests and externally linked booking or future payment services may involve their own processing and privacy controls.
You can also use your browser privacy settings to block or delete cookies; doing so may affect some website functions.
Following an external link may bring you to a service with its own cookies and privacy controls. Its practices are governed by its own notices.
6. Third-Party Links
The Site includes links to other services, including consultation booking and social-media or content platforms. Those services have their own privacy policies. Please review their notices before providing information. We do not control the content or privacy practices of external websites.
7. Your Rights
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw an optional marketing choice. We consider requests in accordance with applicable law and any legitimate recordkeeping obligations. We may need information to verify your identity before responding. Additional rights may apply depending on where you live.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, practices, or applicable requirements. We will identify the effective date of the updated policy on this page. Please review it periodically.
